On Veterans Day- there is only one point to keep in mind: it begins with us.
It begins with us to remember why we have the freedoms we so often take for granted- freedom to be who we are -no matter how similar or different from others without fear of persecution. It begins with us to teach our children tolerance and respect of all other humans - as we are all God's children. The freedoms we have are precious and to be treasured. Let us not misuse them or forget at what cost we have attained these freedoms.
God bless America.
Take a moment in public or in private and thank our troops, veterans and their families for their daily sacrifices so that we may live in this wonderful country . Take a moment and remember it begins with each one of us to honor those who gave us the ability to live in a democracy . And finally it begins with us to raise our children to honor our servicemen and women as well. May our veterans never be forgotten.
FREEDOM ENDURES.

Our own troops remember to honor our veterans best as shown here in this poignant photo of a Marine visiting a fellow Marine after his wife asked for someone to visit this man before he died- their loyalty and brotherhood is color blind.
"If only our world could learn from their example and honor ,"
a Homefront Hugs volunteer wrote as she submitted this photo .
